Miranda Kerr, Candice Swanepoel and Alessandra Ambrosio celebrated the 15th Anniversary of the Victoria’s Secret Swimsuit Catalog today which suddenly makes me feel old as shit. It seems like only yesterday I was squirelling away issues under my mattress before heading off to write about Jesse James cheating on Sandra Bullock on the Internet machine. Ah, the days of our youth.
Candice Swanepoel is a South African model who has done advertisements for the Greek versions of Vogue and Nike. She has also done catwalk modeling for Tommy Hilfiger and Victoria’s Secret. She has since become the first South African model to be chosen for Victoria’s Secret Angel campaign and a legitimate supermodel making thousands of dollars for one days work. One negative to the whole experience, is that because of her decision to start modeling at a young age, as well as the travel and time demands involved with the high glamor job, she has been forced to drop out of school.
